  • Phone number if you choose to provide it for account recovery

  • Date of birth to verify you're over 18

Important: We never store your actual bank login credentials. If you use bank import features, we work with secure third-party services that handle authentication separately from our systems.

Your data serves specific purposes. We don't collect anything we don't need, and we don't use it for reasons beyond what you'd reasonably expect.

Providing Our Service

Most obviously, we need your information to run your budgeting account. This includes processing your transactions, generating spending reports, sending you notifications about budget limits, and keeping your financial data synchronized across devices.

Improving zenorvexia

We analyze usage patterns to make our tools better. For example, if most users struggle with a particular feature, we know we need to redesign it. This analysis uses aggregated data rather than looking at individual accounts.

Communication

We'll email you about account changes, security updates, and service improvements. You'll also get educational content about budgeting – though you can opt out of these emails while still receiving essential account notifications.

Legal Compliance

Sometimes Australian law requires us to retain certain records or report specific information. We keep what's legally required and nothing more.

You can download a complete copy of everything we have about you. Just go to Settings > Privacy > Export Data, and we'll generate a file within 48 hours. This includes all your transactions, budget settings, and account details in a readable format.

Correct Inaccurate Information

Found something wrong? You can edit most information directly in your account settings. For things you can't change yourself (like your registration date), contact us at help@zenorvexia.com and we'll fix it within 5 business days.

Delete Your Account

If you want to leave zenorvexia, you can delete your account anytime from Settings > Account > Delete Account. This removes all your financial data within 30 days. We'll keep basic transaction logs for 7 years as required by Australian tax law, but these contain no personally identifiable details.

Restrict Processing

You can ask us to stop using your data for specific purposes while still keeping your account active. For instance, you might want to pause marketing emails or stop us from analyzing your usage patterns. Email help@zenorvexia.com with your specific request.

Object to Data Use

If you disagree with how we're using your information, you have the right to object. We'll review your concern and either stop the processing or explain why we believe it's necessary and lawful.

Response Timeframe: We respond to all privacy requests within 30 days. If your request is complex and needs more time, we'll let you know and explain why.

Data Security Measures

Protecting your financial information is obviously crucial. Here's how we do it.

Encryption

All data transfers between your device and our servers use TLS 1.3 encryption. Your stored data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption standards. Even if someone somehow accessed our servers, they'd see gibberish without the encryption keys.

Access Controls

Only specific zenorvexia employees can access user data, and only when necessary for support or maintenance. Every access is logged and reviewed. We use multi-factor authentication for all internal systems.

Regular Security Audits

We conduct security testing quarterly and work with external experts for annual penetration testing. Any vulnerabilities found get fixed immediately.

Data Backups

  • Anonymized analytics: Indefinitely, since they can't identify you

If you stop using zenorvexia but don't delete your account, we'll email after 2 years of inactivity asking if you want to keep it. No response means we'll delete it after another 6 months.

International Data Transfers

Your data stays in Australia on servers located in Sydney. We don't transfer personal information overseas. Our cloud provider operates Australian data centers exclusively for our service.

If you access zenorvexia while traveling abroad, your data still stays on Australian servers – you're just accessing it remotely. The same privacy protections apply regardless of where you log in from.

Cookies and Tracking

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies. These small files help us keep you logged in and remember your preferences.

Essential Cookies

These are necessary for zenorvexia to function. They manage your login session, remember your dashboard layout preferences, and keep your settings synchronized. You can't disable these without making the site unusable.

Analytics Cookies

We use these to understand how people navigate zenorvexia and which features get used most. This helps us prioritize improvements. You can disable these in Settings > Privacy > Cookie Preferences without affecting functionality.

No Advertising Cookies

We don't use cookies for advertising or share cookie data with advertisers. We don't run ads on zenorvexia, so there's no reason to track you across other websites.

Children's Privacy

zenorvexia is designed for adults managing their personal finances. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our terms of service require users to be at least 18 years old.

If you're a parent and believe your child has created an account, contact us immediately at help@zenorvexia.com. We'll delete the account and any associated data within 24 hours.

Changes to This Policy

We update this privacy policy occasionally as our practices evolve or laws change. When we make significant changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when the current version came into effect.

Minor changes (like fixing typos or clarifying existing practices) don't trigger notification emails, but we'll always update the date. You can review previous versions by contacting us.

Continuing to use zenorvexia after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. If you disagree with changes, you can delete your account before they become active.

Complaints and Disputes

If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, we want to hear about it. Contact our privacy officer at help@zenorvexia.com with details of your complaint.

We'll acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and provide a detailed response within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
